Shugborugh Hall - Antiques in the Park - A major new event from the Jaguar Fairs stable. Shugborugh Hall is the newest 'Antiques in the Park' event, located in Staffordshire on the 25th and 26th April.

In 1624 the land at Shugborough formed parts of the estates of the Bishop of Lichfield. Eight acres of land with the manor house were purchased by William Anson, a local lawyer for £1000.
In 1693 Williams's grandson demolished the house and built a 3 storey house that forms the centre of the house that we see today.

In 1960 Patrick Lichfield inherited Shugborough from his grandfather Thomas Anson. It had always been Thomas's desire to open the house to the public and in 1966 an agreement to do just that, was reached. The National Trust took ownership with Staffordshire County Council, committing to a lease to conserve and maintain the property for 99 years.

Today the estate has thousands of visitors every year, who come along to see the uk's only complete working estate with all major buildings. These include the mansion house, servant’s quarters, model farm, reconstructed chemist shop, Taylor's shop and Victorian schoolroom. The house has magnificent views over riverside garden terraces and also houses a stunning collection of porcelain. The gardens are 19th century grade one listed, with historic woodland walks and trails.

It is within the magnificent grounds at Shugborough that Jaguar Fairs are to hold an Antiques in the Park™ event on April 25th and 26th. The event at Shugborough will be of a similar layout to Kedleston, with stalls in marquees and outside. Exhibitors from all over the country, even Europe, will be selling a wide variety of antiques, vintage and collectables. Items to include jewellery, paintings, silver ware, porcelain, watches, clocks, furniture, garden antiquities, vintage clothes etc etc, with prices to suit all budgets.
There will be excellent on site catering; Derventio Brewery will be onsite serving real ales as well as wines, lagers etc. in the onsite bar.
